The world is in a revolutionary situation

Why are our wages so low? Why are our livings, livings of workers in such poverty?
Because capitalists are getting unprecedented gains, replacing full-time workers by temporary ones. They are making large profits, speculating on grain and oil. They are completely responsible for state of things today.
People of the world are getting angry. There are demonstrations and strikes everyday and everywhere: public sector workers in England, education workers in France, post and traffic workers in Germany, and health workers in Denmark etc. There are also food riots everywhere in the world, in Asia, Africa and Latin America as well as in the Middle East.
Itfs high time to demonstrate our strength to Bush, Fukuda and the capitalists of the world.

War, disparity and poverty--enough is enough!

Korean Workersf Rally against privatization

gSmash G8!h\\this is the slogan of the working class. Letfs concentrate our anger to this point!
The Presidents and Prime ministers of the US, the UK, France, Japan and so on gather at a hotel at Lake Tohya in Hokkaido on July 7-10 to hold a G8-Summit.
G8-Summit and the working class are incompatible. The Iraqi War, existence and increase of working poor, privatization, dismantling of health care and pension systems, starvation and destruction of environment\\all these things are their works from which we suffer extremely. Letfs smash the G8-Summit by united action of the working class!

Let,s change the world by power of labor movement!

Letfs make a revolt at our workshops! Let

Doro Chiba (National Railway Motive Power Union of Chiba) waged a spring offensive strike this year and made an appeal of unity and solidarity across industries and workplaces. Letfs create a fighting labor movement that can defeat capitalists and the state power! Letfs get back true labor union to us, overthrowing misleaders of existing labor unions; they yield to capitalists and the state power saying, gStruggles can provide workers with nothingh.

Letfs make a powerful demonstration on June 29 in Shibuya!

The state power is awfully scared of strikes and demonstrations. G8-leaders must know that they canft hold a conference calmly. Letfs make a huge march of 10,000 people!
Letfs demonstrate together and create unity! Letfs express our anger! Letfs transform Shibuya into a town of angry workers, students, the elderly and farmers!

Statement of the National Committee for Organizing the Rally of June 29 Against G8 Summit
June 27, 2008

The Tokyo Police Denies Freedom of Expression
We, the National Committee for Organizing the Rally of June 29 Against G8 Summit, demand that there be no restrictions placed on the right of the people to use public roads for free speech activities.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department has undertaken an initiative to exclude our march from the downtown area of Sibuya. According to the march permission issued by The Tokyo Metropolitan Public Safety Commission, our course of march, which we had filed under the Tokyo Public Safety Ordinance, have been unilaterally changed without any legitimate reason. Furthermore, we could received the march permission only after 2 p.m. Today; it is practically impossible for us to file a lawsuit to get provisional injunction.
We strongly oppose this outrageous violation of our freedom of expression under Article 21 of the Constitution.
We will resolutely organize the rally in Yoyogi Park and the march in Sibuya. Let us fill the downtown Sibuya with the angry voices of workers! Workers from around the country, join us and launch a huge demonstration against the G8 Summit!

The National Committee for Organizing the Rally of June 29 Against G8 Summit

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Our hearts are with you as you speak truth to power, even as you experience suppression and silencing by the Japanese government. We know that you will remain strong in calling for global justice, for human rights and dignity, and democratic representation everywhere.
We join you in opposing globalization that results in unregulated political power of large multinational corporations and trade agreements which foster inequities, poverty, global warming, health concerns as well as other life and death issues. It is outrageous that the G8 countries represent only 14% of the world population, yet they have monopolized the world's economic output, are responsible for the world's nuclear weapons, and 72% of the world's military power.
The majority of the people in the United States are opposed to our government's policies and involvement in the G8 summit. We join you in struggle and thank you for being visible in your resistance against the G-8 summit and all that it stands for.

In solidarity,

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

On behalf of the Transport Workers Solidarity Committee (TWSC), we bring greetings and solidarity to your protest and action against the G8 meeting.

The G8 conference is not about solving problems for the working people of the G8 countries or workers of the world.
In fact it is exactly the policies of these corporate controlled G8 country governments that have led to the present disaster in the world economy. Their agenda of deregulation of the world's financial system has exacerbated the capitalist speculative bubble. The billionaires are now setting the stage for a complete collapse of the world economy as they make multi-billion dollar gambles on the price of oil and other commodities. This speculation is not for the use of these commodities but to make large profits.
They have ruined economies in Korea, Taiwan, Japan and many other countries and now their policies are causing starvation and mass unemployment throughout the world.

Their G8 support for deregulation and privatization of the world's economy has weakened and harmed health and safety conditions for workers and conditions for consumers in food, transportation, housing and agriculture.
These governments of the G8 represent a rapacious gangster class that is intent on stealing even more wealth of the world through chicanery and manipulation of the economy and the political structure. Their policies have had criminal consequences for millions of transportation workers who have seen their wages cut, their injuries on the job increase and the destruction of a rational plan for transportation in the world.

We also support your action to expose the corporate media's cover-up of their crimes. The corporate controlled media will not even whisper that the very crisis that the world is facing is precisely because of the policies of these G8 governments yet that is the case.

Only the action of workers independently on a global level can confront and stop the policies of privatization, deregulation and war that the G8 are imposing and conspiring to implement. Workers must also see that if the capitalists cannot run the system, the solution can only be workers running the system. As this crisis grows US workers and workers around the world will be forced to confront the fact that this system is not capable of meeting their needs.
These G8 bosses are telling the workers of the world that there is no future for workers in their schemes and game plans. Our answer is that there is no need for the bosses that run these G8 governments and in fact workers can run the world to benefit the people of the world instead of the .5% who own the world and run it for their personal benefit.

The action of the west coast ILWU longshore workers to close the ports to protest the war in Iraq and Afghanistan is the kind of action we need against the G8 on a global level and the TWSC will work with our brothers and sisters at this protest against these policies and crimes.
